Secret Monday Mission Alert

Hello, Competition Hunters. We hope the New Year is treating you well. The first Monday of the year can be a stressful day, can’t it? Many of us returning to our routine, or work, are battling with the Monday Morning Work woes while some have dropped the children back to school and are recovering from an early alarm call.

Well, that’s how OTHER people’s days are going – but not us! Because WE are about to win some serious prizes! Like Baldrick himself, I have a cunning plan…

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to Out-win all the big competition websites!

No, I’m not a few sweets shy of a quarter (okay, maybe just a little! haha) but before I self-destruct, let me explain:

A large percentage of compers are having a rest after the advents. If the media are to be believed, we’ll be weary with the January Blues from next week and this won’t ease up until Spring. So, if most of the non-competition hunters feel this way, feel less like comping– let’s just try to win ALL THEIR STUFF!!!

Just the thought makes me laugh. Visualising all those complacent faces, relaxing by the side of their website pool – while we, sneak about on tiptoes finding and collecting the very best that January promoters have to offer!

To show you what I mean about reduced entry numbers (and bearing in mind that the January Blues haven’t even set in yet!) I’ve been trying to win a LakeLovers holiday competition on Facebook over the last 10 days. As you know, Facebook competitions require very little effort and so usually attract in the region of at least 1,000 entries for even the basic prizes. Although the competition is closed now, what was surprising to note that there must have been around only 200 or so entries for each of the 32 holidays – that’s quite good odds for a 7 night holiday in the Lake District! There MUST be more like this!

The larger competition sites become infested with conversation and negativity; lethargy spreads like wildfire. As soon as forum based posts start to moan; it’s like a magnetic vortex – many readers and commenters will leave the conversation feeling dejected, deciding to join the crowd and take a rest from competitions until the Valentine’s Day competitions arrive.

So let’s just go for it! We will be like the Marvel Superheroes or something brilliant like that!

Do you accept this mission? Do you think it’s possible to hunt all the competitions and win all the prizes that the others might not? Tell us your opinion in the comments – we won’t breathe a word!
